For folks in the plant world, the rewards are double. Big vistas, warm water, and sandy beaches are the perfect distraction from a typical day. AND, they expand the realm of possibilities for garden designs, plant displays, and plant growth habits.
Sandy Harbor is a cove about halfway up [or down] on the Nevada side that offers numerous amenities. It has everything from Shakespeare performances to SUP rentals. What more can one ask for?

For residents in fire prone areas, prevention is a mantra. Judicious clearing and careful pruning of important focal points can create a landscape that is beautiful and safe. The photo shows Oaks with their structure highlighted after careful pruning by Wildwood atop Adobe Canyon Rd.
Opening up sightlines and clearing away fuel can be a symbiotic approach that pleases the fire chief and the eye!

One outstanding plant is Digiplexis. It's a cross between two species in the Digitalis [foxglove] family. Digitalis and Isoplexis makes Digiplexis!
Since the plant is a hybrid, it puts all its energy into making flowers, not seeds. The result is a foxglove with super bright colors.
There is a 'stand' of Digiplexis in the front yard in Sausalito. They're taking full sun and loving every second!
