Container Ginkgos

Capturing the essence of Wildwood in a photo takes a little doing.  This photo of dwarf ginkgos is a very stylized image of container gardening.

The process began with moving large rocks into position.  The spacing between the rocks is key.  From a human perspective they look 'fine' in a certain configuration.  Through a camera lens, straight on, they look much different...

Once we set the ginkgo grouping, we placed the ferns, pieris, and umbrella pines to soften the hard surfaces.  All in all, it took about 16 hours [over 4 days] to design this garden!
