Sha Sha Sha Shaina

Feeling in the mood for the cool melody of a dwarf red maple?

The old standard is A.p. Shaina.  This slow growing maple has slightly smaller leaves than a palmatum leaf.  With a compact twiggy growth habit, young trees have the look of a wily old maple.

Of course there are newer dwarfs to choose from; ones named after Ed or Twombley or Enron [just kidding on the last one].  These newer compact red dwarfs don't have the same charm of a mature Shaina.  Wildwood always has a rotation of Shaina's growing for visitors to browse.
